Results of the suit survey

Survey population: 28 male JOLF employees, 13 offices, grades assistant to director (but no partners unfortunately), functions covered are Audit, Tax, IT Advisory, Risk Management, Transaction Services.



Average suit price in the survey: £245
Least typically spent on a suit by one person: £70 (although one person had bought a cheaper suit)
Most typically spent on a suit by one person: £500


Detailed analysis (Minimum and maximum show the lowest and highest typical prices for suits given, not the least and most ever spent on a suit by that person. Where only one person fits into a particular category, I have not disclosed the minimum, maximum or average.)

By staff grade:

Assistant: min £100 max £200 avg £175
Assistant manager: min £200 max £350 avg £265
Manager: min £70 max £500 avg £250
Senior manager: min £120 max £350 avg £230

By function:

I would do a similar survey, but:
- employees on this site: one
- total male employees: twelve, including everyone from chief executive to part-time payroll clerk!
