Yesterday saw the demolition of Texas Stadium, the iconic former home of the Dallas Cowboys. If you ever watched the soap opera Dallas's opening titles, you may remember it and the hole in its roof. The hole was supposedly there so that "God could look down and watch his favourite football team". The Cowboys moved into their new Cowboys Stadium last year. While the new stadium has a retractable roof, rather like Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, it also has the world's largest HD screen (60 yards long) suspended above the pitch, so God's view will be somewhat restricted...

Anyway, for those of you (like my wife) who like big explosions (or in this case implosions), here's the demolition:

Weird how the hole seems to hold up for a second after the rest of it has gone.
