I hadn't heard of many of them, but completed the quiz anyway.

On the basis that a militaristic warrior race that I haven't heard of can't be that good, can it?

The Klingons and Cardassians are from Star Trek.
The Sontarans, Daleks and Cybermen from Doctor Who.
(But I'm guessing those are the ones that most people know, along with the Humans.)

The Orks are from Warhammer 40k.
The Treens are from Dan Dare (the Mekon's people).
The Kilrathi are from the Wing Commander computer games.
The Kzin are from Larry Niven's 'Known Space' series (the most famous book of which is 'Ringworld').
The Jaffa are from Stargate.
The Predators are from, well 'Predator'.
The Mandalorians are from Star Wars (Boba Fett is a Mandalorian, as is his father, which _arguably_ makes the clone troopers in episodes 2 and 3 Mandalorian too.)

I've said humans, but I really mean a particular subset of humans, the Vor of Barrayar.

This is one of those questions that leads to 'if a squirrel and a badger got into a fight' discussions.

I'd pay good money to see the Klingons fight the Jaffa. With Giant Forks!

I suspect the predators to be the superior warriors here, but I don't know enough about them to be sure.

If I were a Goa'uld, I would definitely be out there looking for the Star Trek universe for this reason. Also, because I want a holodeck.

We discussed clone troopers, and concluded that they weren't a race as such. However, that's why the Mandalorians are in there, as apparently the clones were of Mandalorian origin. I thought nobody would know that. I didn't know that!

Yes, see my answer to tovaglia above.

I should have included the Fremen. I did think about the Borg, then decided they weren't really that warriorish - but then spoiled that logic by having the Cybermen, and since the Borg are clearly Star Trek's blatant copy of the Cybermen, that seems unfair. Dorsai I don't know, but I have most of the books in my library waiting to be read. Pyrrhans I don't think I know (enlighten me...). Psychlos? Aren't they from Battlefield: Religious Weirdo?

Pyrrhans are in Harry Harrison's Deathworld trilogy - people who've grown up n a planet that's trying to kill them, so are trained to kill before they can walk, more or less.

Psychlos are from Battlefield:Earth, yes.
