Song 23: Free Bird, Lynyrd Skynyrd

I haven't done one of these posts in ages! (To be fair, chainmailmaiden, neither have you...) The idea is to post about your 100 favourite songs, one song at a time.

My first 22 songs have been:
Toccata Sky
For America Red Box
Rhiannon Fleetwood Mac
Broken Land The Adventures
The Luckiest Ben Folds
Far, Far Away Slade
Rasputin Turisas
Back in Black AC/DC
California Dreamin' River City People
The Highwayman The Highwaymen
Sam's Town The Killers
The Temple of the King Rainbow
Yer So Bad Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
The Chain Fleetwood Mac
Bad Love Eric Clapton
The Supernatural John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Black Magic Woman Santana
Big Love Fleetwood Mac
Sister of the Moon Fleetwood Mac
Stand Back Fleetwood Mac
Go Your Own Way Fleetwood Mac
Songbird Fleetwood Mac

Now Free Bird has been one of my favourite songs for quite a while (in fact I like a lot of Lynyrd Skynyrd stuff), but it's raised onto a higher plane of 'like' because of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Put simply, Free Bird is easily my favourite song on these games.

The better versions are the extra long live versions, basically because they have extra twiddly bits. With Free Bird, it's all about the twiddly bits. Enjoy...

Not having a working computer is behind my lack of posting, since it broke last year I'm confined to my Tablet or BlackBerry, neither of which I find easy to use for LJ. I try to avoid the work PCs & rarely would have time there anyway. I just hate using a touchscreen for typing, having a proper keyboard and a mouse is far preferable.

Ooh, I like the idea, but am too lazy to look them all up. Any chance you could create a Spotify playlist of them? It has a free version...

I've never used Spotify. According to wikipedia the free version doesn't work if you're offline. That would make it essentially useless for me - I mostly listen to music while driving, or sometimes while working, when I'm sat at a computer that holds my entire music collection on it anyway. And £9.99 a month for the paid version is way more than I spend on music.)

Maybe when I reach 100...
